Paratha Bread Filled with Spiced Beef and Lentils

Ingredients
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- ½ teaspoons ground fennel
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 200g beef mince
- 70g whole red lentils
- 1 tomato, diced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 4 Supreme Foods Paratha bread
- Onion salsa and salad to serve
Method
Pre heat the oven to 180°C
- Sauté onions and garlic for 2 minutes. Stir through the fennel, cumin, coriander and cinnamon.
- Add the beef mince and cook for 5 minutes. Add the lentils, tomato, tomato paste and 200 ml of water. Cook until the liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper.
- Microwave each of the paratha bread for 30 seconds. Divide the beef filling between the breads, making sure the mix is in the middle of the bread. Fold in half (half moon shape). Skewer the bread together using a bamboo skewer. Place onto a baking tray and lightly brush with a little water, bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with onion salsa and salad.
